Zero House

,

An experiment in net zero prefaB construction

2017 Sustainable Building & Design project

A lot of zeros add up to an amazing little house: zero net energy, zero carbon footprint, zero toxins, zero waste. Oh, and the whole building needed to be prefabricated and modular so it could be put up and taken down multiple times!

Working with partners at Ryerson University, we took their compact, energy-efficient design and made it fully modular, carbon-storing and healthy. Zero House was toured by thousands of people at the EDIT-DX show in Toronto who got to experience affordable, net zero design in person!
